Who we are

This website is operated by One Bike Tanzania, P.O. Box 825, Mailimoja Road, Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. We are the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us at onebiketz@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +255 659 23 11 36.

What we collect, and when

We only collect what you choose to give us. There are three forms on this site, and each one tells you what it is for:

• •Reserve your spot — first and last name, email address, and optionally your WhatsApp number, country, chosen departure, number of riders, bike preference and any message you write.
• •Download the itinerary — your first name and email address.
• •Keep me posted — your first name, email address and the months you could travel.
• •Along with your message we record which page you sent it from, so we know what you were reading.

Why we use it

To answer you. Your details are used to reply to your enquiry, confirm a departure, send you the itinerary you asked for, and tell you when new dates are confirmed. That is the whole purpose.

Where you have asked us for something (an itinerary, a reservation, an alert about new dates), we process your data to take steps at your request and on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our trips. Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

How your message reaches us

When you submit a form, your details are recorded on our website's server and emailed to our team in Moshi. If you use the WhatsApp option, your message is sent through WhatsApp and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms.

We use a small number of processors to run the site and handle these messages: Vercel (website hosting, in the EU/US), Resend (transactional email) and, where you use it, WhatsApp. Each acts on our instructions.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets no analytics or advertising cookies unless you accept them. When analytics is enabled, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics with Consent Mode, which starts in a denied state — nothing is stored until you choose Accept on the banner.

We store one small item in your browser to remember your cookie choice, and to remember that you dismissed a notice. That is not used to track you across other websites.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer you and, if you travel with us, for as long as we are required to keep booking records. If you asked to hear about new dates, we keep your details until you tell us to stop.

You can ask us to delete your details at any time and we will do so, unless we are legally required to keep a record of a booking.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. Just email us and we will action it.

If you are in the EU or UK and you believe we have handled your data badly, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers and security

We are based in Tanzania and our service providers operate in the EU and the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country. We only use established providers and we do not transfer your data beyond what is needed to run the site and reply to you.

The site is served over HTTPS. We never ask for card details or payment information on this website.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date above.
